triumph and tiredness (spoiler)
The discussion highlighted the thin line that is suspended in the hope of Dumbledore. After the flash of triumph, watched by Harry at the end of Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore seems old and tired as ever.
Dumbledore knew for years that a fragment of Voldemort's soul that had been enclosed in Harry's scar. He knew that he might be destroyed, Harry had to be struck by 'Avada Kedavra . Harry seemed condemned to death. Spent the last hour before giving to Voldemort, Harry proves the anguish of those who know to die and has lost hope of escape. Even Dumbledore, for many years, has experienced a similar anxiety when he thought Harru.
At the end of Goblet of Fire, Dumbledore comes back to hope, when he realizes that the blood that Voldemort has dug a force to be Harry will protect him from death. Lily's blood will protect Harry from Voldemort's curse.
But only by that is anyone else might kill him. Ironically, Harry is protected by hatred of Voldemort, and Harry who wants to take revenge personally forbade the Death Eaters to kill him when they could do it. But, of course, this protection would be lost if accidentally discovers the truth just Voldemort.
addition, there is a second paragraph to explain: the blood of Lily enough or not enough a proteggere Harry?
